Mr. Carson is a Co-Founder and General Partner of Welsh, Carson, Anderson, & Stowe (WCAS), one of the country's largest private investment firms, which he founded in 1978. Prior to co-founding WCAS, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Citicorp Venture Capital. Mr. Carson has over 40 years of investment experience in the finance industry. He and his wife are patrons of Holy Cross Elementary School, St. Mark the Evangelist Elementary School and Rice High School, all Inner-City Schools in Manhattan. Mr. Carson currently serves as a Co-Chairman of the Board of Overseers for Columbia University School of Business, Chairman Emeritus of the Rockefeller University Board of Trustees and Chairman of the New York City Investment Fund. Mr. Carson is also a Trustee of Dartmouth College and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and a Director of the Partnership for New York City and the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation.
