Given the universally acknowledged success of Catholic schools in inner-city neighborhoods, it makes no sense that these schools should have to exist on limited resources. All great educational institutions have substantial endowments to provide financial stability and secure their future existence. The Inner-City Schools in the Archdiocese of New York deserve no less.

The Endowment for Inner-City Education was established with an initial fundraising goal of $100 million, which would enable us to grant $5 million of support every year to the Inner-City Schools and their students. This substantial and long-term support will go a long way in securing the financial future of schools that are providing such a critical service to the children of New York City.

We are excited to report that we have recently surpassed this fundraising goal. However, over the last ten years the needs of the Inner-City Schools have only grown, and we now know that $5 million will not be enough to ensure access to all who desire a high-quality education. Thus we are continuing to grow the Endowment further. Please consider a gift to The Endowment for Inner-City Education. Your gift will last forever, and will change countless lives.
