The Endowment for Inner-City Education was created in 1997 to provide needy children in New York City with access to a high-quality education.
The Endowment provides tuition scholarships to 8,000 low-income children so they may attend high-performing elementary (grades preK-8) and secondary (grades 9-12) schools in the Archdiocese of New York. The Endowment also provides financial support directly to the schools through grants for academic programs and vital capital repairs.
The schools supported by the Endowment are providing 40,500 students each year with a high-quality, values-based education that works. In a city where just over half of students graduate from the public schools in four years, nearly 80% of the students who attend one of the high schools we support graduate four years later. Even more compelling, an astounding 96% pursue post-secondary education.
The Endowment supports a system that works. We hope you will consider joining us in our mission of giving a child an education that yields results, and a future filled with possibilities.
100% of every dollar donated goes directly to our programs.
